All writers must be 18 or older.
Due to the mature content that will be found within this game, we ask that all writers be 18+ to join. There are no exceptions to this rule. Likewise, we also expect all characters in game to be adults.
Keep IC/OOC Separate.
There will be a lot of chance for in-character drama to occur within this game. Please keep in mind that this is fantasy, and someone's character will most likely not represent who they are in real life. Also, we expect any out of character knowledge given beforehand of an event or discovery to be kept as such. There should be no 'all-knowing/seeing' characters in this game. Characters should be played with in-character knowledge and the awareness of the general world around them, nothing more. Furthermore; all game-wide plots need to be discussed with everyone, since they will include everyone in one way or another. Political plots need to be discussed among everyone with a character impacted by them.
No God-modding.
You're only in charge of your own character, and should not be making decisions or actions for others where their characters are involved. On this note, please understand that heavy maiming and/or death of a character can only take place with the permission of the writer who owns said character.
Stay true to your character.
Know what you are playing. A tavern owner isn’t going to roll up to a king and start slapping his ass. Well, technically he could, but see the rule titled ‘actions beget reactions’ for more information.
We believe in love and equality here.
We are open to pairings of any and all types, as long as that is not a writer’s main focus for having characters within our community. We only require that all characters involved are adults.
Actions beget reactions.
Though there is a 'no kill/heavy damage without permission' rule - we feel there is one stipulation towards character injury/punishment from one character to another. Remember that IC actions will have IC consequences - both good and bad. We request that you think out your character’s actions before they make them. Furthermore, if you can’t take the heat - just don’t go in the kitchen at all.
There will only be 5 (five) characters per writer.
More info on that rule and shit. Yeah.
Journals are a must.
You may name your journal anything you'd like, though we'd appreciate it if there was something to do with your character. If you need an invite code to create a new journal, feel free to contact the Mods and we'll get back to you with one asap.
Friend lock your entries, please.
All posts need to be friend locked but also kept available for the entire community to view and keep up with. So, friend lock yes, customs no. We want to know what is going on with your character, as that is a large part of being active within a community.
Activity will be checked once a month.
The mods are older, thus we aren’t going to have super strict rules. We will have an activity check once a month. For now, it will consist of replying to a check-in post. We can change this in the future if we feel it is necessary. So, please be active.
Detailed scenes rule.
Please make an effort with scenes. We aren’t perfectionists, but we would like to see more than three sentences per reply. If you feel you are unable to accomplish this? This likely isn’t the game for you. Also, give your writing partner something to work with. No one likes feeling as if they are carrying the scene.
There are no computers in this world we're creating.
Therefore, we shouldn't see anything like links to music or cute gifs hanging around on the community page.
